Last year I noticed my veg. garden spot has gross little worms and before I plant this year I did my research and they are grub worms. I believe they are japanese grub worms. I read about some chemicals you can use to get rid of them, but does anyone know of a more natural cure (other than digging them all up)? I would like to keep my garden as chemical free as possible!

Try soapy water or hot sauce & water in a spray bottle. Or try Jerry Baker’s website, he’s got a lot of organic/chemical free ideas.

Go to an organic gardening center in your area (or a place that sells organics) and get Beneficial Nematodes. They are microscopic organisms that feed on grubs, fire ant larva and flea larva. They come in a small package that is kept in the refridgerator at the store. If someone tries to sell you nematodes that didn’t come from the refridgerator, DON’T BUY THEM. You mix them with water, then the nematodes re-animate and you can spray them all over your garden and yard. That is the best organic way to get rid of grubs. Hope that helps!

Try any product with Bascillus thuringiensis as Active Ingredient, which is a natural bacteria. These products are known as Bt´s and are organic. These kind of product makes the worms to stop feeding and starve to death. Try to use it as soon as you detect ovipositions. There are a lot of brands like Lepinox. New Bt, Javelin, Xentary. Good luck
